Bishop IRINEU Celebrates Feast of Saint Ambrose in Bucharest

On Tuesday, December 7, 2004, Grace, Bishop IRINEU, returning from the funeral of his mother and grandmother near Alba Iulia, Romania, traveled to the city of Bucharest and, at the invitation of His Grace, Bishop AMBROZIE, one of the Auxiliary Bishops of the Patriarchate and a former classmate of Bishop IRINEU, concelebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Saint Ambrose, the patron saint of Bishop AMBROZIE.
His Grace, Bishop IRINEU blesses the faithful upon entering the church.
Prior to the Divine Liturgy, His Grace, Bishop AMBROZIE blesses a subdeacon
who will be ordained into the Holy Diaconate later that same day.
"Intru mulţi ani, Stapāne!"
"Command, Right Reverend Master, him who is brought forward to be made deacon..."
The deacons lead the candidate around the Holy Altar and in front of the Bishop.
The prayer of ordination.
His Beatitude, Patriarch TEOCTIST arrived at the church by the end of the Liturgy and offered congratulations to his Auxiliary Bishop on the feast of his patron saint.  His Beatitude went on to welcome His Grace, Bishop IRINEU and offered condolences on the falling asleep in the Lord of his mother and grandmother.
