Bishop IRINEU Celebrates the Sunday of the
Triumph of Orthodoxy at Holy Resurrection Church

On Saturday, February 28, 2004, His Grace, Bishop IRINEU joined area clergy and faithful at Holy Resurrection Church in Warren, Ohio, for the Vespers of the Triumph of Orthodoxy.  His Grace was welcomed by the parish council president with the traditional bread and salt.
The clergy represent parishes of various Orthodox jurisdictions in the Warren area.
Host priest, Rev Fr Eugen Roşu, reads the prayer during the Psalm.
His Grace blesses the faithful at the time of the entrance.
As is traditional on this day, a procession is made around the church with icons, symbolizing the Triumph of Orthodoxy over those who forbid the use of icons in Christian worship in the early Church.
Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky of Saint Nicholas Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, president of the local clergy association, welcomes Bishop IRINEU, the clergy and faithful present.
His Grace offers a local miraculous icon to the faithful for veneration.
