The Patron Feast Celebration of the Residential Chapel of the Hierarch
The Nativity of the Ever Virgin Mary - Vatra Romānească
Grass Lake, Michigan

On Wednesday, September 8, 2004, the Hierarchs of the diocese invited clergy and faithful to join them in celebration of the Patron Feast Day (Hram) of The Nativity of the Ever Virgin Mary Chapel in Grass Lake, Michigan.  Located at the diocesan center, Vatra Romānească, the chapel serves as the residential chapel of the hierarch.
The priests and deacons met the hierarchs at the main residence and went in procession to the chapel.
"Come let us worship and bow down before Christ..."

The Holy Gospel is proclaimed by the deacons.
His Grace IRINEU blesses the faithful following the reading of the Gospel.

The hierarchs exchange the Kiss of Peace.
"O Lord, who at the third hour sent Your Most Holy Spirit onto your Apostles, do not take Him from us, O Good One, but renew Him in us who pray to You."
Rev Dn Sabin Pop receives the Precious Blood of our Lord from Bishop IRINEU during the Communion of the clergy.
Archbishop NATHANIEL blesses the faithful.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a Memorial Service (Parastas) was served in memory of deceased faithful.
The faithful come forward to venerate the Cross following the conclusion of the service.
V Rev Archimandrite Dr Mihail (Filimon) offers the blessed bread (anafora) to the faithful after they venerate the Cross.

After the services, a meal was offered in the pavilion hall, donated by George & Emilia Barbu in memory of the deceased members of their family.
