The Burial of Rev Fr John Limbeson
Ellwood City, Pennsylvania

On Friday, August 26, 2005, His Eminence, Archbishop NATHANIEL traveled to The Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, for the burial of Rev Fr John Limbeson.

The Funeral Service for a Priest was celebrated in California.

Following a lengthy illness, Fr John fell asleep in the Lord with his family by his side at his home in California.
Among his work in the Church as both a priest and layman, Fr John was the first national president of The American Romanian Orthodox Youth.
His Eminence, Archbishop NATHANIEL prepares the casket for burial.

His Eminence blesses the casket with holy water after it has been lowered into the ground.
Following the burial of Fr Limbeson, His Eminence, together with some of the clergy, sang a small Memorial Service (Panahida) at the grave of the Very Reverend Mother Abbess Alexandra, founding abbess of the monastery.
