The Ordination of Subdeacon Paul Catalin Stoleru
into the Holy Diaconate

On May 2, 2005, Bright Monday, His Grace, Bishop IRINEU celebrated the Divine Liturgy at The Ascension of the Lord Mission in Montreal.  During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace ordained Subdeacon Paul Catalin Stoleru into the Holy Diaconate.
The candidate receives the Bishop's blessing as his father, Rev Dr Nicolae Stoleru, and Rev Fr Mircea Daniel Banu look on.
"O holy martyrs, who contended valiantly and were crowned, intercede with the Lord for us that He have mercy on our souls."
His Grace reads the prayer of ordination.
"He is worthy!  Vrednic este!"
His Grace giving the sermon as the new deacon listens from inside the altar.
