Today
marks
the
release
of
the
new
"roea.org",
the
official
website
of
The
Romanian
Orthodox
Episcopate
of
America
(ROEA).
The
site
is
made
possible
through
the
Episcopate's
Department
of
Publications
and
is
now
directly
operated
from
the
ROEA
Chancery.
The
website
was
first
established
in
Fall
1996
and
continued
without
interruption
until
January
2004,
at
which
time
the
previous
host
company
ceased
operation.
The
Department
of
Publications
then
evaluated
the
status
of
its
internet
presence
and
constructed
the
present
design
in
an
effort
to
best
meet
the
communications
needs
of
the
Episcopate.
The
site
will
be
under
construction
through
2004.
Some
of
the
features
will
be:
an
Events
Gallery,
where
photos
will
be
posted
from
various
events
across
the
Episcopate;
information
on
the
Departments,
Organizations
and
Parishes
of
the
Episcopate;
a
page
where
Press
Releases
will
be
posted
as
they
are
issued
by
the
Chancery;
an
online
museum
of
artifacts
in
the
possession
of
the
ROEA
and
its
parishes;
the
ability
to
shop
the
Solia
Bookstore
and
make
donations
online
using
your
Visa
or
Mastercard;
and
detailed
online
tours
of
Vatra
Romānească
(the
Diocesan
headquarters)
and
the
Romanian
Orthodox
Deanery
of
Canada
Centre. |
