New Book on Bishop POLICARP Moruşca

Grass Lake MI [ROEA Chancery] -  "Policarp Moruşca: Letters in Captivity", a recently published book on the life of Bishop POLICARP Moruşca (d 1958), the first hierarch of the Romanian Orthodox faithful in North America, is now available in the Romanian language*.

Written by Rev Fr Remus Grama, parish priest of St Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio, the book uses letters, documents and testimonies to illustrate the suffering of this missionary hierarch who was prevented from returning to his flock in the New World.  In exile in his own land, POLICARP Moruşca endured hardship with honor, resolve and the determination to never surrender his title as "Bishop of America".  This work contributes greatly to a better understanding of the history of the Romanian Orthodox Church in North America.

The book is available from the Solia Bookstore for $19.95 each (plus $5.00 shipping & handling).  Please make checks payable to "ROEA".  Order by:
