English Edition of "Policarp Moruşca: Letters in Captivity" Now Available

Grass Lake MI [ROEA Chancery] -  The Department of Publications of The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America has announced that the English language edition of "Policarp Moruşca: Letters in Captivity" is now available.  The Romanian language edition of the book was published last year and is also still available.

Written by Rev Fr Remus Grama, parish priest of St Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio, the book uses letters, documents and testimonies to illustrate the suffering of Bishop POLICARP Moruşca (d 1958), the first hierarch of the Romanian Orthodox faithful in North America, who was prevented from returning to his flock in the New World.  In exile in his own land, Bishop POLICARP endured hardship with honor, resolve and the determination to never surrender his title as "Bishop of America".  This work contributes greatly to a better understanding of the history of the Romanian Orthodox Church in North America.
