GRASS LAKE, MI [ROEA] --  On April 19, 2021 His Grace Bishop Andrei, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, addressed a letter to the clergy and faithful of the Episcopate concerning the Camp Vatra programs for 2021.

“The foremost concern of our camp administration, working with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, is always the safety of the students and staff entrusted to our care,” said His Grace.  “Our limited facilities and resources simply do not allow us to safely implement living conditions and activities observing the necessary distancing precautions mandated by the State of Michigan. With that in mind, we must again cancel the in-person programs of Camp Vatra for this upcoming 2021 season.”

He then explained the additional efforts made to continue ministering to our young people during the pandemic utilizing online resources, as well as the expectation to resume normal Camp Vatra activities in 2022.
